China is the first country to plant, produce and drink tea. Now, tea has been used for medical, eating and drinking purposes. The Chinese tea culture has been greatly enriched since Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism were blended into it.

The Illustrated Book of Chinese Tea discusses the origin and development of Chinese tea culture, tea and folk customs, tea and economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, the relationship of Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and Chinese tea culture.
