Yue Fei, was a famous general against the Jin invaders in the early Southern Song dynasty. He led his army to defeat the Jin Army many times but was framed up by those officials who proposed surrender to Jin. He was eventually killed by the flabby government.
Xuanzang, a monk in the Tang dynasty, was a great sutra translator in Chinese history. Xuanzang’s sutra translation and missionary efforts made Chang’an the center of Buddhism in the era.
